somewhere unremarkable.
Mine starts here. Welcome to RaajLok.
There is a particular kind of restlessness that comes with being at the start of something. You can see the direction you want to go. You can feel the gap between where you are and where you want to be. But the path in between is still unclear, still being built, still uncertain.
I've been sitting with that feeling for a while now. And instead of waiting for clarity to arrive, I decided to start moving and let clarity find me along the way.
The honest starting point
I'm a student about to begin engineering college. Like most people my age, I have more questions than answers — about what to learn, which direction to take, how to build something meaningful in a world that feels like it's changing faster than anyone can keep up with.
I've been drawn to cybersecurity for a while. Not because it seemed like a safe career choice — everyone has an opinion about that — but because it genuinely interests me. The idea of understanding how systems work deeply enough to know where they break. The intersection of logic, creativity, and real-world consequence. It felt like a field worth taking seriously.

Most content I found was either too polished — success stories told cleanly in hindsight — or too surface-level to actually help. I wanted something different. A place where the learning happens in public, in real time, with all the confusion included.
What RaajLok will be
This blog is my public learning journal. I'll write about cybersecurity concepts as I learn them, tools I build, challenges I attempt, things that don't work, and the slow process of figuring out what kind of engineer I actually want to become.
Some posts will be technical — writeups, code walkthroughs, tool documentation. Some will be honest reflections on the process itself. All of them will be real. I have no interest in curating a highlight reel. The mistakes are part of the record too.
If you're a student navigating similar questions, you're welcome here. If you're someone further along who remembers what the beginning felt like, I'd genuinely appreciate your perspective. And if you just like watching something unfold from Day Zero — pull up a chair.
A note on why "RaajLok"
Lok in Hindi means world, space, realm — a place where things exist. RaajLok is simply my world. The space where I think out loud, build things, break things, and document the whole process. It felt like the right name for something personal and public at the same time.
I don't know exactly how this turns out. That's kind of the point.
